Supportive measures are tailored to meet the needs of the complainant, respondent, witnesses, or any other community members impacted by the reported conduct.
Examples of Supportive Measures
Supportive measures may include, but are not limited to:
- Academic Adjustments: Options such as rescheduling exams, extending assignment deadlines, transferring course sections, or course withdrawal.
- Workplace Modifications: Adjustments to work schedules or job assignments for employees.
- Housing Changes: Reassignment or relocation within campus housing.
- Safety Measures: Enhanced campus security, restricted access to facilities, or temporary safety accommodations.
- No-Contact Agreements: Mutual or non-mutual agreements to prevent direct or indirect contact between individuals.
- Transportation Assistance: Access to alternative transportation arrangements.
- Mental Health and Medical Referrals: Referrals to on-campus or community-based counseling and healthcare services.
- Victim Advocacy and Legal Support: Connections to advocacy services or legal assistance for those affected.
Who Can Access Supportive Measures?
Supportive measures are available to:
- Complainants: Individuals bringing forward a report of misconduct.
- Respondents: Individuals alleged to have engaged in misconduct.
- Witnesses: Individuals involved in the case who may need support.
- Other Impacted Individuals: Any community member directly affected by the reported behavior.
Confidentiality of Supportive Measures
The university is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of supportive measures, to the extent that doing so does not impair their effectiveness.
